what exactly is RADIO SILENCE: THE DEATH & LIFE OF MIKE BLOOMFIELD?

RADIO SILENCE: THE DEATH & LIFE OF MIKE BLOOMFIELD is an original biographical not-for-profit comic book on the late blues-rock guitar pioneer created by underground cartoonist Michael Aushenker.

The one-shot, nonprofit comic book, to be released Fall 2016, is homage to and an unauthorized biographical account of the Chicago guitarist best known for his work with the Butterfield Blues Band, Electric Flag and Super Sessions who played with Bob Dylan the night he went electric in Newport and who was found dead in 1981 at the age of 37.

The nonprofit spirit in which Aushenker is currently creating this comic will forward all proceeds to to-be-determined drug rehabs assisting lower-income addicts in Marin County and San Francisco, where Bloomfield lived and died.
